If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve been very open about my ADHD journey. For years, I struggled with the traditional advice of “just buy a planner” or “just make a to-do list.” When your brain is wired differently, standard organizational systems often feel overwhelming, restrictive, and impossible to maintain.
It took me a long time to realize that I didn’t need to fix myself to fit into neurotypical organizational methods—I needed to build a system that actually worked with my ADHD brain, not against it.
Today, I’m sharing the exact apps, products, and daily hacks I use to keep my life, home, and business running smoothly without burning out. You can find all of the physical products mentioned linked on my Amazon Storefront.
1. The “Visual” Organization System

Out of sight, out of mind is a very real thing with ADHD. If I put my supplements in a closed cabinet, I will never take them. If I put my fresh produce in the crisper drawer, it will rot.
My biggest hack is visual organization. I use clear acrylic bins in my fridge, pantry, and bathroom cabinets. Everything has a designated home, but I can still see exactly what I have. I also keep my daily supplements out on the counter in a beautiful aesthetic pill organizer so I never forget to take them.
2. The Time Timer

Time blindness is one of my biggest struggles. I will sit down to answer “one quick email” and suddenly three hours have passed.
The Time Timer has been an absolute game-changer for me. It’s a visual timer that shows a red disk slowly disappearing as time passes. I use it for the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of focused work, 5 minutes of rest) and for tasks I’m dreading. Telling my brain “we only have to clean the kitchen for 15 minutes” makes it so much easier to start.
3. The “Brain Dump” Notepad

Digital to-do lists are great, but when my brain is racing with a million thoughts, I need physical paper. I keep a large desk pad right next to my keyboard.
Whenever a random thought pops into my head while I’m working (“buy dog food,” “text mom back,” “schedule dentist appointment”), I immediately write it down on the pad and go back to what I was doing. It gets the thought out of my brain so I don’t lose focus, but ensures I won’t forget it later.
4. Notion for Life Management
While I need paper for quick brain dumps, I need a robust digital system for actual life management. Notion is the only app that has ever worked for my ADHD brain because it is completely customizable.
I have a “Life Dashboard” in Notion where I track my content calendar, meal planning, finances, and long-term goals. The key is keeping it simple—if a system is too complicated to update, I will abandon it within a week.
5. The “Doom Basket” Method

We all have those random items that accumulate on the kitchen counter or the dining table—mail, keys, random receipts, a hair tie. Instead of fighting it, I lean into it with the “Doom Basket” method.
I keep a beautiful woven basket in the entryway. When I’m tidying up and don’t have the mental energy to put every single random item in its exact proper place, I toss it in the basket. Once a week, usually on Sunday, I take the basket and properly sort everything. It keeps my surfaces clear without requiring daily perfection.
6. Habit Stacking
Building new routines is incredibly difficult with ADHD. The only way I can make a new habit stick is by “stacking” it onto an existing one.
For example, I could never remember to wipe down the bathroom sink. So, I stacked it with brushing my teeth. I keep cleaning wipes right next to my toothbrush. Now, the second I finish brushing, I grab a wipe and clean the sink. It takes 10 seconds and requires zero extra mental energy.
