I used to think beauty was something you had to chase. Perfect brows, clear skin, the right blush placement. But every time I got close, the goalpost moved. There was always a new product, a new technique, a new reason to feel almost-there.
Somewhere between trying every serum on the market and overanalyzing my reflection in bad bathroom lighting, I realized the real glow-up wasn’t about my skin…it was about my energy.
Then I stopped asking how to look more confident and started focusing on how to feel more confident. I started saying no when I meant no, went outside more, drank water without needing it to be lemon-infused, and did small things that made me feel like myself again.
And that’s when something wild happened…people started telling me I was “glowing.” Nothing changed except how I treated myself. Turns out your skin catches up when your nervous system chills out.
Now, beauty feels less like a checklist and more like a mood. I still love products…they’re fun, they’re creative, they’re part of my ritual, but they’re not the whole story.
The real glow-up happens when you stop trying to prove you have one! 🤍
